Addis Ababa University’s (AAU’s) Interim President, Samuel Kifle (PhD), discussed with the Rector of Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, Professor Sabina Nuti at the main campus of the University on the 30th of October 2023.
Dr. Samuel explained to the Rector and her team that AAU, which has just been granted an autonomous status by the government, is the biggest and the oldest higher education institution in the Ethiopia with current student population of more than 40,000 students in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
During their meeting, the two leaders discussed on collaboration issues focussed on research and training of various areas: social sciences, law, economics, natural sciences, IT and other technological fields. They also agreed to take practical actions to realize the cooperation in the near future.
The Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies is a special-statute, highly selective public research university located in Pisa, Italy. A team of 30 faculty and students, including the Rector and the Deputy Rector (Dr. Arianna Menciassi), from this institute visited AAU on Monday.
